- Some buttons in

FL Studio

aren't labeled. Check out the hint bar beneath the menu section for a description of the various buttons.

- Many of the Menu commands have hotkey commands that can speed up your work-flow.

- Ctrl+S to Save is an important hotkey to remember.

- With Save as (Ctrl+Shift+S) lets you save a new copy of your song. This is great when you want to try something new with your song without affecting the original.

- The Edit menu lets you cut and copy song segments along with other functions.

- The Channels menu is where you'll add and manage channels in your song.

- The View menu lets you view or hide modules.

- The Options menu is where you'll modify

FL Studio

settings.

- Under the Tools menu you'll find more advanced options for working with songs.

- Look at the hint window often; it'll tell you a lot about the control you're using.

- The Transport section is where you'll play, stop and record your loops and songs. You can also change the beats per minute (BPM) and toggle between Song and Pattern modes.

- The counter shows you where you are in a song when playing or editing.

- The Monitor and Peak meters show you your waveform as it plays and also your volume.

- The CPU and RAM meters show you how much of your system resources your song requires.

- The graphic buttons can be used to save, undo etc. and switch between certain view modes.
