Windows 7 Aero Snap and Peek

In Windows 7 Aero snap and peek are just two features that eliminate some of old problems. Previous versions of Windows made it awkward to minimize, maximize and size windows on your screen. If you had many windows open it was also difficult to get a sense of what was in each window so you could pick the right one. We users adapted but knew there must be a better way.

- In Windows 7 you can compare two pages quite easily.

- Left-click on one page and drag it all the way to the left, or right.

- You'll note a slight change in the color of the screen and at that point let go of the page.

- The page will spring back and occupy half of the screen. Do the same with the other page and each will occupy half the screen for easy comparison.

- If you drag any open window to the top of the screen it will automatically maximize.

- If you drag any window to the bottom of the screen it will minimize.

- If you click on the small desktop button in the lower right-hand corner of the screen all programs will minimize.

- With Aero Peek you can hover your mouse cursor over an icon in the taskbar and Windows 7 will display a thumbnail of each item.

- If your graphics card doesn't permit the thumbnails you'll see a listing of open pages instead.

- Windows 7 is designed to make it easier to work with program windows.
